The Air Cooled Hood Reflectors give you a focused light that penetrates more deeply below the canopy than other reflectors. They have a flip-open hinged glass cover so the heat from the bulb never escapes into your grow room.

Instead, the heat is vented out through the flanges on both ends of the reflector.

  • Cool and efficient operation: venting air through the reflector keeps your grow room cool and protects the bulb's lifespan by keeping it from overheating

  • Powder-coated steel: ensures longer life span
  • Hinged glass cover: ability to just flip it open makes for easy cleaning and bulb changes
  • 4-corner German aluminum: highly reflective material on all sides ensures as little light as possible is wasted
  • Multiple wattages: works with single ended bulbs from 250 watts to 1000 watts
  • Multiple HID bulbs: works with single ended MH and HPS bulbs
  • Bulbs not included

How it works:

Air cooled reflectors have a glass bottom to create an air tight tunnel. Cool air is blasted through this tunnel and over your lamps to remove heat. Next to no light is lost through the glass panel - just make sure you keep it clean.

Setup
Simply mount your shade above your plants. Mount a fan and ducting at one end over the flange and blow air through the reflectors and exhaust it out the other end through the ducting – no hot air can escape into the growing area. It is important to blow the air into the reflector and to not suck the hot air through the fan. The extra heat forced through the fan could cause it to overheat and fail.
