What Does SafeVac Do?

Burp-Free Curing

Let your flower finish while in storage or transit, without worrying about burping containers.

Whether storing finished flowers or processing fresh frozen, SafeVac’s unique barrier allows for proper moisture distribution to prevent freezer burn.

Unlike turkey bags or vacuum films made for food, SafeVac is designed for the unique physiology of plants and to preserve its quality.

Best Practices

Drying

We recommend a 10-14 day dry at 600F & 60% RH. Before filling your bags, your flower should measure -•10-120/0 moisture (using a moisture meter), or 0.55-0.58aW (using a water activity meter).

Packing

Unroll the film to create your desired pouch size and heat seal one open edge. Place flowers into bags, leaving the bag "empty", creating the headspace that will power our technology.

Sealing

For curing and product storage, extract the air from the pouch using a vacuum sealing machine. Heat seal the remaining open edge.

Curing

Allow your product to remain sealed for your preferred curing duration (2+ weeks recommended). No need to "burp" your bags simply fill them and allow them to cure. SafeVac will expand or puff up naturally as your buds cure.

Storing

Store sealed pouches in cool, dark conditions around 600 and 60% RH, and enjoy a hands-free cure, better terpene preservation, and maximum weight retention, all while saving space. SafeVac can also be used in freezer conditions.
